Rabery & Delphieu

A very fine early Rabery and Delphieu French Bebe in a 14 inch cabinet size, and very lovely.  she has beautiful big soulful dark brown glass paper weight eyes, an exquisite face and perfect bisque.  The face is wonderfully and delicately painted with a finely outlined closed mouth, lovely light brown feathered brows and almond shaped big deep brown glass eyes, soft gentile coloring, mauve eye shadows dainty accent dots in nostrils and eye corners applied nicely shaped ears that are pierced with earrings; crisp molding and a little dimple in the chin.  she has a French human hair blonde wig in long corkscrew curls with bangs.  The original neck screw is in place and her original body is very nice, jointed with straight wrists and well strung.  The head has been lighted.  She is wearing a brown and cream couture French frock with an embroidered satin panel down the front, brown satin ruffles on the shoulders with braid edging brown satin ruffled skirt, brown velvet around the hips and with tiny cream color buttons on tabs on sleeves and the front panel.  Ruffled sheer voile at neckline and sleeve cuffs.  A large bustle/bow in the back.  She has brown straw hat with a cream color flower and silk.  Her vintage shoes are a cream color with bows and silver buckles on the toes, and vintage cream color socks.  A brown and cream color rhinestone clip is at the neckline.  From Paris, France, circa 1860-88, this rare and beautiful 14 inch cabinet size French Bebe has a bisque head made by Gaultier and bears the letters R 3/0D on the back.  Should you wish to discuss lay away terms or make a reasonable offer, feel free to contact me at brownlindaellen@gmail.com  $5750.00  USD  #rabery&delfieu  #antiquefrenchdoll #andtiquedollcollector  #antiquedollshop
