Gaultier FG Lady

A rare all original 16" tall FG Gaultier lady with an original jointed slender wooden French lady body, closed mouth and almond shaped blue glass eyes. Her face is very beautiful, gently and delicately painted with lovely coloring. The molding is crisp, and the bisque is lovely, smooth and not grainy. It is free of any hairline or damage.

She is wearing her original green wool and velvet bebe dress with a chemise and pantalets underneath, black net stockings and little dark brown boots with heels. A blue and green vintage rhinestone bow pin is at the neckline of the dress. The beautiful original green costume is strong, showing minor fading, as would be expected for age. with her original blonde mohair wig, and she also has a cork pate.

She has an original hat with a feather that matches her dress. When I got the doll, she had tape on the toes of her feet. I have removed the tape, and her feet are ok.  She has green earrings in her pierced ears.

This is a rare and lovely doll. The slender wooden jointed lady body is hard to find, and she has her original outfit.

Condition:Excellent. Beautiful bisque and original fully jointed wood body with straight wrists. The body has its original finish without repaint. It is sturdy and well strung. The bisque is smooth, not grainy, with pleasant coloring. There is a small firing line inside the head from the rim that does not show on the outside. It is from the making. there is no hairline or damage.
